Avenue Red is back with a fierce, techy mix of house, breaks and electro from Ian Lane, a collector and selector from the city of Galway on the west coast of The Republic of Ireland. This is yet another tough, relentlessly groovy installment in the series to prime us all for our eventual return to the smoked-out dancfloors when the clubs re-open. Ian shows what a solid DJ he is technically - this is a lesson in the flow of a pro with intricately puzzled together selections, both new & old.

"I'm loving the challenge of throwing lots of different genres together and trying to keep the mix interesting while also keeping a good flow. This mix is quite high energy and weaves through some dub techno, breaks and house. I'm very thankful to Alec for giving me the oppertunity to showcase my sound and I am humbled to see the calibre of artists and mixes that have come before me already. Starting with an abstract ambient, wavy and moody atmosphere, to then break things open with the trumpet from Harry Beckett in ‘Bracelets of sound’. ‘Bracelets of sound’, wouldn’t that be a great name for this mix?! 
Recording these soft mixes always feels very personal to me. It’s a beautiful dialogue between your feelings and the music, I believe that sometimes it’s just better to let the music speak… The mix brings you the refreshing sounds of birds in contrast with the grandeur of the horns from an orchestra. “Soft music for soft days”
