As Hallie Flanagan once said “the power of radio is not that it speaks to millions, but that it speaks intimately and privately to each one of those millions.” And we love this medium as it gives us the power to travel without borders and host wonderful souls without limitations. 

“Beshknow Radio takeover on Soho Radio” is a one-week curated lineup of 13 programs freshly cooked by Beshknow residents and invited guests for Soho radio. 

The first day of the program starts with a collection of Iranian songs from early 70s to the Late 90s as a warmup and continues with eclectic live performances of local bands from Tehran. 

The following days of the week are dedicated to listeners with a diverse appetite in electronic music, experimental sounds and dance tunes.

@ahu_sohrab is a Berlin based Iranian Artist who began his musical exploits in a punk band in Tehran but time and space and inertia have distilled his music into a rare spiritual essence, with a delicacy and evanescence like memory.
With his Acid Train in this trip, he guided us  through some 90s nostalgic spiritual spirits.

Active since 2018, he began his musical journey in Istanbul, where he developed a distinctive sound blending techno, progressive house, electro, and minimal, enriched by experimental frequencies and emotional depth.

Bardya Bonakdaran aka Not2B is a music producer and DJ who brings a distinct perspective to electronic music. His sets and productions fuse groove-driven energy with emotional storytelling, shaped by years of discipline and a deep passion for the arts — strongly influenced by his background in engineering.

With a love for melodic house and funky rhythms, Not2B creates moments that are both uplifting and immersive. Inspired early on by John Digweed, and later shaped by artists like Maceo Plex, his sound balances precision and soul in equal measure.

Born in Paris and living in Barcelona, Maryu is an historical @hors_sol member. Very honored to contribute to Deep House Tehran, he recorded a podcast with his latest discoveries in progressive, minimal & dubby trance, also accompanied by small voices. Each day, Maryu is sensitive to ecology, feminist struggle, animal welfare & deeply revolted by the patriarchy, colonialism, imperialism that lead the men to violence. For this mix, he chose to begin with the following text from the gaza poet Mohammed Moussa, issued to the EP called « GAZA » by the duo Ësenaim. :
