I work as a freelance music consultant, writing about, editing and producing (audio, digital and print)  classical, contemporary classical and band music. Through PHM Publishing and Production I am making available a range of  band, orchestral and vocal music. Much of this I have edited or realised myself, but I am particularly proud to be able to publish hitherto unknown music by the innovative brass composer of the 20th century, Wilfred Heaton, audio files and performances of whose music feature here.

I am the Archivist for Besses o' th' Barn Band based in Whitefield, Internationally  Renowned as the Most Famous name in Brass Banding. Besses celebrated its Bicentenary in 2018 and long may it continue !
