Bombyce Archive Part 03

This mix was made using only my dad's records.  Every one of them an original pressing, stuff he bought when he was about as old as I am now--give or take a decade.  My dad never played an instrument really, and my mom always joked that he was actually tone-deaf.  But man, what a taste in music--and in his own way, what an ear too.  My dad could tell you who was playing drums and what year the record was made after hearing the first 2 bars of a song.  Maybe his mind never quite figured out how to communicate with his hands or his voice in a musical way--but he certainly had a mind for music.  

Some of these records were his favorites, some of them are my favorites, and some of them I listened to for the first time while I was putting this mix together--discovering new favorites.

Dad, this one's for you.

The mix represents the Amsterdam Coffee Shop experience and is a chill out mix of Funks featuring music from Barney’s Coffee Shop in Amsterdam.

I’ve selected the best tracks from my recent visit and put them together in a 6 hour chill out mix for you to relax and unwind to.

The mix is great for back ground music, is easy listening and is eclectic featuring multiple genres ranging from Funk to Soul, Raggae to Dub and Ambient to Electro; there’s plenty of variety.
