Tried to give the required atmosphere of suspense and emotion as i was making this cinematic piece. The basic idea came from a melody that it sounded good to me when i was practicing improvisation on the midi synth, so i managed to build some other themes arround it and sequence them as a track appropriately. I started this a few weeks ago, when I was feeling more than a bit discouraged.

I know everyone gets to feeling this way sometimes, and so this is my offering to all of you who periodically feel this sense of hopelessness. I know what it is like. Hang in there, pray, ask a friend for help, know that there is always someone who cares. Know that I care, even if I don't know you by face or even by name. Perhaps one day I will.

Even more importantly, know that God cares. Never forget that.

The title comes from a famous novel by Natsume Sôseki, which could roughly be translated as "I am a cat", but you know, the Japanese have many many ways to say "I"… and the "I" Sôseki chooses is very fitting to the cat in the Russian poem Ekaterina recites here.
