Morgan Willis hails from the South of France, he forged his own sound and style as one of the pioneers of the genre encompassing Synth, Retrowave and reinventing 80s music. Releasing multiple singles and albums since 2012, Willis' first foray into the synthwave scene began in 2015 with the album Night Rider. Critically acclaimed Miami Calling came in 2016, followed by Sophie Teenage Dream (2017), Supernova (2018), Stay the Night EP (2018) and The Jenkins House (2019), Skyline (2020), Damier Club (2023 ), Street Dreams (2024), Hotline Summer (2025) to add to his superb catalog of Miami Vice-infused 80s electro pop. . Morgan is also a member of the duo Inviting Waters with American singer Kel, whose debut album was released in 2023. Live performances have seen Morgan Willis travel to cities as diverse as New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona, Darmstadt, Marseille, London, Helsinki... Hello Fear of Tigers family,

This is the trailer for the forthcoming Fear of Tigers album, podcast, personal memoir and photo diary “Lo-Fi Belgrade”.

Over the next two months I’ll be releasing a new piece of music every week, alongside a podcast, interviews, found sound and set of images, detailing my journey across Belgrade and wider Serbia.

Lo-Fi Belgrade is the soundtrack to the city I fell in love with and a personal story about a hopeless romantic who found himself alone here.

During the course of this series I’ll walk you through the sounds and sights of the city - you'll hear conversations with some of the people I've met, my jump into the culture and even a little of the language and history.

Let me bear my soul to you... This is going to be my most personal project yet. It’s an album for me, an album for you and a love letter to the city I love. I’ll tell you something of my personal story of how I ended up alone here and I’ll delve in the rich world of 80s music from the Ex-Yu (ex Yugoslavia).

I’ve said it before. This is my most personal project yet. The gloves are off and is no more holding back. Take my hand, join me and I will show you everything.

Some notes on this trailer, the music is not original, it’s a shallow dive into ex-yu 80s gems and the track list is below. I’ll be taking my inspiration from some of these tracks and I will introduce you to many more of these hidden classics along the way. You'll also hear me use the word "ex-yu" along the way, it's a reference to former countries of Yugoslavia - Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Bosnia Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Stories... Young UK drum & bass artist Virtue has plenty to share. 

Firstly there’s the tale of his album. A tailored narrative throughout his debut long player; each cut is a short vignette. Pieced together to take you through an all-too-familiar relationship hurricane from first sight to last fight, Virtue understands the essential album equation: 12 bangers do not equal an album with longevity or substance. 

Instead, he guides us through the emotional twists and turns of a relationship cycle with subtle sonic twists, subgenres, melodic motifs, detailed drumwork and silky mixdowns on each track: from the sweet liquid love story opener of ‘Blow My Mind VIP’ right through to the poignant piano-laced post-split future-gazing ‘Of Winner Takes It All’ by way of the full-pelt dynamic bass guilty bitterness of ‘The Secret’ and every emotion in between. All the while keeping a stern eye on the dancefloor, ensuring each production’s purpose and direction isn’t lost in the concept. 

Second is the story of how he was signed to John B’s Beta. After a clutch of releases on labels such as Multifunction, E-Motion and Influenza, he blindly sent ‘Blow My Mind’ to John B knowing the lilting pianos and warm soaring bass would resonate with the Beta Recordings founder. John loved it so much he opened one of his heavily-subscribed podcast episodes with it... Leaving Virtue a surprise AIM the day the podcast dropped. They started talking albums straight away. 

Finally we have the story of his roots: following the well-known likes of Callide, Voltage, Decimal Bass and Konichi, Virtue is yet another successful alumni of Gloucester’s thriving D&B scene. Collaborating with local agenda-setters, he was part of the not-for-profit label Stilla Audio and regularly representing on the city’s community radio station GFM since 2009, 25-year-old Virtue’s rise is classically informed and old school: from passionate DJ to skilled producer with a real understanding of dancefloors, he’s developed his way through the local ranks and is now ready to take on the world. It’s already happening... 

His life-changing off-chance Beta demo didn’t just make it to John B’s podcast, it also made number one on the 1Xtra Drum & Bass chart for two weeks running.  

Virtue: a man with a real promise, an album with a real purpose, a sound with real dynamism. ‘A Soundtrack Of Two Lives’ is the tale of an aspiring, highly talented artist who’s spent years waiting to tell his story... Are you listening?
