Quatorze recordings is back with a stellar delicious compilation entitled "Mango Smoothy".

The perfect tracks for an endless summer breeze, salty textures, shiny & well tanned, hitting that sweet spot between uplifting, dreamy & euphoric grooves.

Title track "Mango smoothy" delivers a long consistent almost non evolving intro, until the surprise of funky melodic riffs & pads swell into Trumpets & Saxophones expressing an endless dance in pure simplicity & precise musicianship.

"Surf your eyes" eludes to dreamy pads & a Bass-line tied to those morning after-hours, when dancers are purely relying on the groove's persistence into the sunrise, in order to soak the sun & go directly surfing.

"Red Flip" The switch to wake up into full euphoria, but with a nostalgic romantic melancholy, driving lucid textures & a stunning melodic journey from the beginning to the end while emphasising the signature Low frequencies to uplift the dance.

"Back to it" The deepest track in the Ep, pure ear candy for deep house lovers, & a full satiating meal for the lovers of Sam's signature sound.

"Trip to Zanzibar" Closing B side, calmly wrapping up the album, through jazzy minimalistic pads, & the state of art simplicity of percussive elements.

This set is a tribute to our inspirational journey through the middle east. From the Emirati desert, to the white mountains of Teheran, from the island of the Persian Gulf to the peninsula of the Mediterranean coast. We thank the people and artists that we have met through this amazing trip. 
Life is full of surprises and we are looking forward to go fly back there to play and discover more.

A sound collage with the intention of providing the audience with an immersive, cerebral and spiritual musical experience created for the environment and the critical moment in which music and culture are currently undergoing. Eternal Sunset was born from the idea of ​​using music as a way to relate sensations and make people's psyches move at a time when physical interaction between them is not possible, and to use music as a vehicle for cerebral and spiritual connection between them.

This is a recording that was sent to all members of the audience as an eternal memory of the sunset of September 5th, 2020.

🗯🗯 Wie hat Corona dein Künstlerleben verändert? 🗯🗯

Als DJ und Organisator von einem Festival war und ist diese Situation besonders herausfordernd. Die ersten Monate waren hauptsächlich von Unsicherheiten und Ängsten geprägt. Die Kraft diente allein der Rettung des Freiland Festivals und die damit verbundenen neuen und unangenehmen Aufgaben. Das war energieraubend und das Ende stand monatelang offen. Vor allem fehlte mir rückblickend der “Festival-Sommer“. Neben dem Auflegen und Arbeiten, was auch meinen Lebensunterhalt sichert, fehlen mir die alljährlichen Begegnungen mit Menschen, die ich in den letzten 20 Jahren kennen lernen durfte.

In der wunderschönen Rostocker Altstadt, bei mir in der Bude. Gut  😊

Eine Gesellschaft die sich nicht noch weiter spaltet. Dabei ist es in unserer Szene wichtiger denn je, die wenigen Freiräume weiter zu schützen.
