Think NPR meets Vanity Fair. In each episode, hosts Rico Gagliano & Brendan Francis Newnam talk with some of the world's most interesting celebrities, and along the way equip you with bad jokes, fresh drink recipes, hot food finds, odd news items... and etiquette tips from the likes of Henry Rollins and Dick Cavett. SDPB is a vital community resource producing and broadcasting high-quality, commercial-free programs and valuable community outreach projects that educate, enlighten and entertain.

SDPB Television airs on Channel 2, Vermillion; Channel 8, Martin; Channel 9, Rapid City; Channel 10, Pierre; Channel 11, Lowry; Channel 13, Eagle Butte; Channel 16, Aberdeen; and Channel 23, Sioux Falls. SDPB broadcasts more than 150 hours of local programming each year and over 65 hours of education children's programming every week.

Besides archiving all SDPB Television and Radio programs, SDPB.org also has full coverage of the South Dakota State Legislature and all South Dakota High School Activities Association sanctioned tournaments. It also houses many of SDPB Education & Outreach's educational resources. Millions of users log on to SDPB.org every year.

SDPB Education & Outreach helps to enhance and expand the learning experiences available every day on Television, Radio and Internet. The staff provides resources for teachers, literacy workshops for parents and child-care providers through the Ready to Learn program, continuing education courses for college students and adults, and local educational television programs, as well as conducting other outreach projects for all of the citizens of South Dakota. 

Friends of South Dakota Public Broadcasting is a 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting SDPB's mission of lifelong learning by using direct mail, fundraising drives, telemarketing, underwriting and grants to pay for programming and programming services for the network.

Snap Judgment is a weekly storytelling radio show and podcast, hosted by Glynn Washington. Snap mixes real stories with killer beats to produce cinematic, dramatic, kick-ass radio. Snap’s raw, musical brand of storytelling dares listeners to see the world through the eyes of another. This is storytelling… with a BEAT!!  Snap first aired on NPR stations nationwide in July 2010. Snap Judgment is now aired on over 400 public radio stations.

Radiolab is a show about curiosity. Hosts Jad Abumrad and Robert Krulwich use state-of-the-art sound design, mind-bending story-telling, and a sense of humor to ask big questions and blur the boundaries between science, philosophy, and human experience. Radiolab is produced in New York at WNYC, and heard on over 300 public radio stations across the country.
