In dieser Sendung von „Radio Impuls“ ist Charles aka SOS_carloss (@breakcommercialbreak) zu Gast. Schon seit vielen Jahren prägt er die Szene in Freiburg als Organisator und DJ - unter anderem durch seine Beteiligung bei Seefood Shows. Auch hat er schon mehrfach auf Partys der Impuls Crew aufgelegt. In der ersten Stunde besprechen wir, wie das Produzieren bei ihm damals angefangen hat, wie sein Prozess mit dem Sampeln von HipHop-Platten begonnen und sich mittlerweile entwickelt hat. Außerdem sprechen wir über das russische Label "Gost Zvuk" (https://gostzvuk.bandcamp.com), einige Releases und dessen musikalischen Einfluss auf Charles Produktionen. In der zweiten Stunde spielen wir ein b2b.

Bei "Radio Impuls" geht es grundsätzlich um elektronische Musik. Im Zentrum stehen dabei die Neugier für den Sound, die Geschichte und die Entwicklungen von experimentelleren Genres, die sich an den Grenzen der Clubmusik entwickeln. Im Fokus stehen die Fragen, wie verschiedene Subgenres sich gegenseitig beeinflussen, wie dies mit der subkulturellen Szene, bestimmten Künstler*innen, Labeln und Orten zu tun hat. Auf der Sound-Ebene ist die Sendung damit die Fortsetzung dessen, was die Impuls Crew in Freiburg (@impuls-crew) durch Auflegen und das Veranstalten von Partys unter anderem beabsichtigt: Neugier zu schaffen, um neugierig zu bleiben für andere, neue Left-Field-Sounds innerhalb der elektronischen Clubmusik.

Pens, based in Leipzig, Germany is a seasoned musician, delving into music production at age 14. His eclectic musical journey spans Dubstep, Garage, Jazz, Funk and Ambient ultimately finding his artistic haven in the diversity. He has recently released on Markham Road Records very first compilation and 110100100global (Leipzig, DE) and has a forthcoming release on Ouvo Rec. (Berlin, DE) in the pipeline. His productions and DJ sets represent his various interests blending elements from diverse genres both electronic and organic, crafting forward- thinking and contemporary music that strikes a balance between the experimental and the intuitive fit for the dance floor and the audiophile headphones at home.
