K, is a singer and cellist currently residing in Saratoga, NY.  As a singer, she has been strongly influenced by folk, alternative, pop and jazz artists such as Fiona Apple, Nikka Costa, Regina Spektor, Melody Gardot, Alanis Morrissette, Ingrid Michaelson, Adele, and Sia.  She has a BA in music from SUNY College at Oneonta. 

Karyn has been hired by artists Terence Hegarty, John Stevens and band “Karma’s Army” to play cello or sing on their albums, and has had the pleasure performing in shows with local musicians including Brian Mellick, Tony Perrino and John Stevens.  Karyn plays cello, piano, and sings in “Northern Water Snake,” a Folk Rock, 4-piece band based out of Saratoga.  NWS has performed at venues in the Capital Region including The Putman Den, Jillian’s, The Red Square, Valentine’s, Longhorn in Luzerne, NY, The Bar Vino in North Creek, NY, and The Band’s Big Pink house in Woodstock, NY.  Most recently, Karyn joined solo artist Ryan Hare to play cello and sing harmony for his solo album release party at Don Pedros in Brooklyn, NY.
