Expect more from Franco Falsini on Better Sound label this winter.
Over the past 40 years, the Italian underground legend has embraced progressive rock, disco, post-punk, acid house and even psychedelic trance, but is only now, in his 60s, enjoying a revival of sorts. DJ Shadow, it should be said, was the first to acknowledge him, sampling Falsini's pioneering 70s group Sensations' Fix – Florence's answer to Faust or Pink Floyd – on 2002's The Private Press. In 2008, Sonic Youth paid their own discreet tribute by subtitling an exhibition of their artwork and ephemera "Sensational Fix", while last year John Elliott – from US hip synth voyagers Emeralds – reissued Falsini's 1975 solo album Cold Nose, an enchanting drone piece originally composed for a short film warning of the dangers of cocaine use.
At the time, Falsini's Italian label Polydor was freaked out by his group of longhairs. "They thought we were a bunch of drug addicts to be kept at a distance "We were kept out of the studios with the excuse that 'the smoke was hurting the machines'." Falsini lightened a little in the early-80s, producing Electra's frisky aerobics anthem Feels Good (Carrots & Beets) – played by everyone from Horse Meat Disco to Aphex Twin – and knocking out a fantastic album of new wave pop in 1983 as the Antennas (check out Just Your Love). Throughout the next decade he produced hours of mind-expanding acid-trance for his Interactive Test label.

The JAM ON THE MOON show is an hybrid performance combining musicians and DJs jamming together, broadcasted live inside Hôtel Costes from STUDIO HC. The intensity of live music creates a powerful vibe inside the hôtel and an exciting challenge for the musicians who know they are aired there.
This platform is inviting anyone who would feel compelled to jam this way: singers, drummers, pianists, poets…

The first session was recorded with pianist Julien Quentin, violist Adrien Boisseau, DJ e/tape and Adrien de Maublanc on modular synths.

Welcome to the new Pluie/Noir podcast series. 8 years after our debut we decided to press the reboot button and return to our roots. With a new format and back to a regular monthly schedule, Pluie/Noir Interscapes will feature audio collages, mixes, live interviews and live recordings from P/N artists, friends, and other collectives we admire. 

Because less is more, instead of the usual triptych format, this series will feature one single A3-A1 visual interpretation of the music by a graphic artist. The artwork will be available to purchase in poster format on our rebooted Bandcamp page very soon, with cassettes or CD-r of the mixes as a bonus. 

And because the P/N podcast series started with Evano, he'll do the honours once again, this time together with CP-AK. Visual interpretation by P/N's head honcho, Max Binski (aka Cleymoore). Enjoy.
