The Danzha magicians open up this glorious 4-tracker, with an unnerving and unyielding composition by the mastermind Denis Kaznacheev - "The Banach Tarski Paradox" - just like the paradox in its name, it unfolds and reconstructs the sonic journey the same way a sphere can be deconstructed into pieces. Like the Ouroborus snake, these crafted textures maintain a perfect cycle with in uttermost synchronicity.

The sophomore part of the ritual, Matt Star's "Elephant Chair", unravels this complex knitting of frequencies, into a stable continuity, the intensity of the frequencies to always be there for when the dancefloor's energy needs intensifying.

As with the rotations of the planets, if we wander on to the other dark side of this record, we meet a new story, Root's "Palomino", an Alice in Wonderland translation of the story into sound, with an eerie construction, an ancient reproduction of powerful frequencies.

Just when the light at the end of the tunnel seems brighter, Amin Ravelle, with "Vaila" turns off the lights of the dancefloor. With the introduction of organic vocals it enables the listeners to reach the apex of the sensorial realms.

The mind is a glorious place, made throughout time, more alive and real by the creative contributions of those that have translated their Maieutics, into these eternal manuscripts of sound.

Since 2013, the label from Ilario Liburni has remained a tastemaking force within the stripped-back realms of club music. Pivotal releases from the likes of Abrax and Mystic Bill's magic 'Take Me Back' had a mesmeric impact on what was being played at the time, particularly the memorable remix from Ricardo Villalobos. Kicking off 2024, I’ve got a great Customer Spotlight guest mix from West Coast vinyl veteran, John Kimble / Thicc Glasses. 

Originally from LA, John grew up in the underground warehouse party scene in Seattle in the early 90's. A drummer and an avid fan of all things musical, with early influences by the rhythm sections of classic rock, hip hop, ska, industrial, avant garde, and the west coast dance music sounds of Jeno, Garth and the Wicked crew. Drawing inspiration from the early Uk tech house pioneers and a member of LA's The Coastal Commission and ex-vinyl-peddler from Beat Non Stop, John Kimble started playing and collecting records in 1994 and remains faithful to the craft of long seamless mixes to create a unique sound and a hypnotic listening experience.  

John's put together a flawless blend of minimal tunes... all vinyl, of course!

Berlin-based artist Per Hammar touches down on London's Planetary Notions imprint to supply his cosmic and bubbling house roller 'Short Waves' to the label's lates various artists EP 'PN006'. 

For the past decade, Per Hammar's been a reliable source for entrancing stripped-back dancefloor material. Now his latest offering proves he's never short of delivering pure magic, as 'Short Waves' "transports the listener into outer space with its square bass-line, cosmic tones and intricate pad work."

Elsewhere on 'PN006', Worker Union and Walker also supply mesmerizing minimal dub house grooves. 

'PN006' is set for release August 23.
