This Ep marks his comeback to a more progressive house exploration of his production, aiming to create a perfect blend between rich melodies and powerful grooves. Both title track and B Side “Midnight Promise” were strictly composed having in mind the dance-floor. The frenetic synths influence the mind through airy hypnotism, hitting the listener from start to finish, and leaving no time to realize what’s really going on. Riggel and Diazar remixes have a melodic techno style.

Completing a triptych of fantastic LPs for 2016, Will Saul’s Aus Music is delighted to announce the debut full length fromYouandewan. The Berlin based Brit’s ten track ‘There Is No Right Time’ lands in October 2016 and shows a distinct development of his musical style.

Youandewan is Ewan Smith, a DJ and producer who has quietly but consistently gone about forging his own tender brand of deep house. He has been doing so since 2009 and most recently settled on this label with tracks that are shy but seductive, and full of both motive and emotive forces. This album stays true to that narrative, but sees Ewan finding his feet with his mostaccomplished and elegant work to date.

Much of the music was sketched out during a wintery Berlin three years ago. Having left London, hungover from a breakup,Smith found himself broke and secluded in an apartment for four months. All this lent the music he wrote a melancholic vibe;one that nods to the lonely nature of the job and to the darker side of constant partying and all that comes with it.

A swelling, expansive piece of melodic atmospherics starts things off, then the soft hues of analog chords bring a neon glow to

the weightless whirl of ‘Be Good To Me, Poly.’ Soaring synths marry with a raw drum and bass combo on “Waiting for L,’ then ’Time To Leave (Can’t Mix)’ resets to a piano laced beatdown vibe that is wilfully wallowing. ‘10405 (Alice)’ is a shimmering, crescendoing piece, and from there the second half of the album begins to take an upward and optimistic swing through the floating, graceful harmonies of ’Our Odyssey.’

‘Something Keeps Me Real Quiet’ is a concession to the ‘floor with its rusted electro slither, ‘Left On Lucy’ calls upon friend Huerta for a hi-tech soulful house cut Derrick May would be proud of, and 'Earnest Kelly' nods to the ‘80s with its stomping retrosynthesis. Finally, ‘4D Anxiety’ allows all the pent up emotion and energy to dissipate with a playful hip-hop jam effortlessly tapped out on an MPC.

‘There Is No Right Time’ is a listening album which proves that deep house done well needn’t be reserved for the club. It’s a vulnerable and musical work that stays with the listener long after the final chords have dissipated.

Tesla, as the name suggests, is a track in honor of one of the greatest genius in the history of mankind: Nikola Tesla.

Not just an inventor, but a complete spiritual scientist, Tesla understood that everything in the universe was energy, vibration and frequency.  Nikola was a one of a kind human whose discoveries and visions made a huge contribution to our evolution.  

Morttagua inspired himself in Tesla’s quantum energy spiritual understanding of life to create dreamy atmospheres and melancholic melodies in honor of the great Nikola, a true Idol. 

To complete this EP Morttagua brings Redox, a remake from his previously released song Madox.  Keeping the same melodic structure from the original, Redox is a true progressive house tune while its original Madox was more in the realms of Melodic Techno.  With new groove, sound design and atmospheres, Redox kick starts Morttagua’s 10 year celebration,  in which he will being a series of remakes of his old classics to fit better in the modern dance floors

La Santa has a very particular approach to electronic music. Her style, which is in constant evolution, is deeply harmonious with rhythms full of sensuality, a unique sound loaded with sensitivity and groove. Her listeners unleash their imagination and ascend to where there is only a real connection.
Her latest project is this triple release, including 'Malik, Kala, and Arya', which she has made in collaboration with a veteran DJ & Producer that debut with this new Alter Ego named, Blueheist. Three original tracks with which, once again, La Santa wraps us in a halo of mysticism using organic sounds. 'Kala' is our gateway to this new story by the producer from Madrid. A percussion-dominated track whose infectious nature captures the listeners and takes them to a dimension with science fiction reminiscences. 'Arya' takes over and does so by again yielding the leading role to percussion, to which she now adds captivating vocals. Its character is certainly darker than its predecessor with a changing development that only adds intrigue. And finally, the tribal 'Malik' closes the EP with a sound closer to the one we know La Santa for. 
'Malik, Kala, and Arya' will be available from November 18th on Stereo Productions.

After almost a years hiatus simple returns with it's first EP of 2013 from Leeds starlet Youandewan. Ewan Smith has been making a name for himself with his deep, dozy and ever so slightly melancholy take on house. He's already slated remixes for Maya Jane Coles, Midland, Dusky & the elusive Gerry Read as well as original eps for Hype LTD, secretsundaze he now makes his simple debut with his 'What's the Deal?' ep.

Youandewan's 'What's the Deal?' EP highlights Ewan's attention to detail whether that be with melodic flourishes on title track 'What's The Deal' or whether it's a more patient groovier number like 'Just Words' which adopts the less is more approach, focusing on a classy bassline, a few drawn out synth chords and sweet vocal snippets. 'You Don't Know' combines Ewan's trademark vocal snippets once again but this time with Mike Huckaby esque synth licks, this is probably the deepest jam on the ep and Ewan's not afraid to take a nod to those from the D(etorit). 'You Tired' rounds off the ep, and illustrates Ewan's deft touch by combining a heavy, groovy bassline and lush, subtle piano flourishes.

Youandewan is only getting going and this EP perfectly showcases his sound. With gigs this summer at Hideout, Unknown and Echo festivals, Trouble Vision as well as several appearances at our very own Aus and simple parties we think 2013 is going to be a fine year for Ewan.
