Tetrykx is a producer, rapper, singer and songwriter. He is also known as Yaz, having been given the name Yasmin Lucien when he was born in St Lucia, the Caribbean, on October 29th 1977.His motto “My determination not to fail is the fuel I am using to prevail.” is embedded in his strong work ethic, musical growth and creativity. The name Tetrykx reflects the building blocks of his life, which are composed of his deep faith, his persistence and his determination to fight on through the many overwhelming setbacks he has faced. These struggles he claims have given him great resilience, teaching him never to give up. He has woven his pains, joys and sorrows into his compositions, melodically expressed in his writing, rapping and singing. Tetrykx was signed to Bentley Records in 2017. After a long break Tetrykx is now back with fire and passion in his new tracks, all of which show his strong beliefs, his strength and his love of life.
His interests include cooking, sports, politics and reading. He says the book that has given him hope, strength and the courage to press on during troubled times is the Bible. Tetrykx is currently working on several musical projects which will be released in a few weeks.
