DJ depuis 1997, Da Vince revendique des influences soul, hip hop et électro. Également nourri par les pulsations du jazz et les subtilités du son brésilien, il a développé au fil du temps sa propre conception de l’éclectisme musical. Une science qu’il travaille quotidiennement dans ses fonctions au sein du distributeur de musique digitale The Orchard (Filiale de Sony), où il officie en tant que label manager depuis plus de 10 ans.
Au fil du temps, on a pu le voir mixer dans des clubs parisiens comme le Djoon, le Rex Club ou le Nouveau Casino auprès de pointures comme Gilles Peterson, Questlove des Roots, Alex Bark de Jazzanova ou Dj Spinna. Il a pu diffuser sa passion à grande échelle en organisant les premières soirées des salons Who’s Next, entre janvier 2003 et septembre 2008, et du salon Cocktail Street, depuis 2018.
Il a cosigné il y a quelques années la programmation musicale des Hôtels Mama Shelter et Mob hôtel avec l’animatrice radio Aline Afanoukoé (France Inter, ex-Radio Nova

Favorite Recordings is a French label focusing on Soul, Funk, Jazz and other related genres from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. With a rich catalog combining original productions and reissues. Founded in 2006 by Pascal Rioux aka Charles Maurice, the label quickly established itself as an international reference. Under his artistic direction, Favorite Recordings offers a real journey, from the AOR of Al Sunny and Lucas Arruda, to the Jazz-Funk of Andre Solomko and Aldorande, passing by the plainly Afro and Brazilians territories of Voilaaa or Di Melo.

Along these new artists’ projects, a few other strong markers cannot be missed such as the now classic French Disco Boogie Sounds and AOR Global Sounds compilations series. 

Like both sides of the same coin, reissues and contemporary productions ultimately reflect the same passion for the warm and analog sound of musical production’s golden age. Today, again and again, Favorite Recordings aims to ensure the succession.
