After a night in a London squat in transit to the spot
Where a train meets the ferry to Dieppe at mid-day
Michael and me, we arrive 'a Paris' for a beer on the Champs Elysee.
The sights and smells of Saint Michel and Sacre Coeurs,
With madames, monsieurs, hunchbacks, gargoyles, nuns, thieves
and police, we take the night train to Nice.

2. N-NICE
In Nice near the beach, drinking cappuccinos with two lovely Filipino girls
in the plaza: Apple and Gina Daza chaperoned by their Moma
All the way from LA in the US of A
Near Rue Grimaldi, listening to Vivaldi and Iggy and Bowie
We talk of Marcos, Manila, Thatcher, London, Jesus, the Dalai Lama, and the glory of love...

3. N-N-NICE
When they close the bar, we have to say 'Au Revoir' almost as if there is no to-morrow
We know in our hearts the moment we part that there is such sweet sorrow
And in the day that follows my heart is heavy and I feel like I'm fatally punctured
Nice is nice but my head is a mess, I go for a swim in the Med but I just can't function.

4. N-N-NICE TO R-R-ROMA
The next day in despair we prepare to leave Nice Ville on the Chemin de Fer 
But love it comes home en route to Rome
The dazzling Dazas board the same train and our paths cross again
The sun it sets over the Riviera and we talk until dawn
sharing stories and jokes of our passions and hopes
Until it's time for 'Arrivederci' at Roma Termini.

In Rome we say 'Prego' as Michelangelo decorates the Cistene Chapel
Meanwhile Michael, me, Gina and Apple 
take a taxi to Castel Sant'Angelo, Incognito in the Via Venito, I am Marcello, Gina is Anita
At the Trevi fountain in 'La Dolce Vita'.
With three coins we make a wish then tenderly kiss.

I wrote this track in 2009 ,It was a period of great inspiration for me, 
many influences are present in this piece, primarily one can hear Rock Progressive sound, the title track is my thought about war and the central meaning is, one can think of winning against the enemy, but the reality to understand is  "who really started the conflict and why ?"  and at the end of war who is the real winner ? perhaps not those who fought for it.

Started in the early 90's as a three piece jam band, weekly bedroom sessions went on for many years, with no pressure to perform we play loose jams and a handful of original songs. On and off over the years the drummer James has been active in the London psych scene playing with the likes of Arthur Brown and Instant Flight. For a real idea of the Improvised jams we have played over the years check out the Shed Session page, in 2006 we had the use of a studio where we set up some recording equipment and held regular all night jams/partys that we recorded. We can still occasionally be heard thrashing out a progression or two at the local studio.
