Greetings and blessings! my stage name is Swann Notty. I've been in the game for quite some time. I first started in 1997 in a group called ROOLETTE with a friend of mine who goes by the name of Shawn Jackson. We were featured on THE LYRICIST LOUNGE PRE TOUR ALBUM and were present on many mix tapes. We soon parted ways on good terms. Shortly after my first solo single (Vinyl) was released in 2002 via CNJ RECORDS entitled 4 STEPS "IN THE GAME" produced by 8TH and JOE BEATS. The B side was a song entitled WHAT IF produced by J. DEPINA and MATHABETICAL produced by 8TH. It did quite well throughout the underground and college circuit. During that time I was picked to represent for the state of RI in the HIP HOP SUPERSTAR contest put together by SONY RECORDS and XZIBIT. There were only 7 artist including myself picked U.S wide and I was flown to CA to perform at the HOUSE OF BLUES in LA. Though I didn't win it was a great experience. Unfortunately the label was defunked, but I continued to make music as well as stay active with shows and videos. I have been featured on many mixtapes with heavy hitters from the east to west coast as well as put out 7 full length cds which are entitled: LIMITED EDITION VOL. 1; SPOTLIGHT OFFICIAL; STREET CORNER CURRICULUM; TALES OF A STARVING ARTIST; CLASSIC MATERIAL, A VIEW FROM A THROWN; and my most recent: RIGHT AND EXACT. These projects include producers such as: URBALIST, 9TH WONDER, J. DEPINA, VERYGO, 8TH and many more.
