Echoes of the Abyss EP is a three-track, one-interlude project that marks my first journey into more experimental styles of electronic music, and I’m super excited to finally share it with everyone.

My hard techno roots run deep in this EP, especially through the use of heavy kicks and industrial sounds.

Track 1: "Sln 444" kicks off the EP with dark, layered atmospheres that blend seamlessly in and out, adding movement to the track. I had a lot of fun setting the tempo at 150 BPM in Ableton while experimenting with slower, unconventional MIDI patterns for the kick and other sounds, creating a truly unique structure!

Track 2: "Flextra_18b (Interlude)" was the spark for the rest of the EP. In this one, I played with sidechain compression set to a high release time, making each sound gradually rise over one bar after each kick punches through, letting the mix breathe and evolve in a way you dont typically experience in music.

Track 3: "130.64" stands apart with a more laid-back kick and, again, a more experimental MIDI pattern. This track is a slow burn, gradually building to a climax where distortion creeps in during the last minute, eventually overwhelming every sound with immense distortion.

Track 4: "Gridnep" closes out the EP by going back to its roots, with layered atmospheres and a sub-heavy kick at a tempo lower than the Ableton project tempo. This one plays with unconventional sounds alongside more familiar ones, and it might be my personal favorite.

With this new techno single, consisting of the two tracks "Utopia" and "Dystopia", newcomer artist Fallen Revenge Angel once again demonstrates his dark and gloomy producing style. The single starts with the track "Utopia" - with a constant minimalistic bassline, which is later complemented by melodies of string instruments - summarized an agitated and moving track, which is supposed to embody the life-affirming and positive in the world despite a dark techno atmosphere. This is contrasted by the second track of this single: "Dystopia", characterized by the hypnotic vibe of the bassline, which already suggests something ominous in its melody and sound. The theme of dystopia is confirmed with striking additions to the lead vocal, with bass and lead complementing each other in the complementary rhythm and the sound design providing a framework for the dystopian theme with many aggressive and gloomy sounds.

Premiere of "Dystopia" on the SC-Channel of Electronic Groove on Nov 26th. Official release in all other stores on Nov 29th.
