Our next guest in the Aphid Records Monthly Series is none other than the Moon of Aphid Records, UK psytrance producer, DJ and label manager, Jules Hamer. About the Aphid adventure so far, the explorations lying ahead, and the distinctly British psychedelic twist topped with a prog-psychedelic-peaked exclusive mix right after the interview. Aphid Moon is the solo project of UK Psy-Trance producer Jules Hamer started in the mid nineties with early releases coming out on Interstella Records as well as Dream Creation’s ‘Sound of Freedom’ compilation in 1997 and 1998 respectively. He cut his teeth promoting a small psychedelic night during the heady days of the first wave of Psychedelic trance in the UK, Djing and performing live in various London squats, clubs and outdoor parties. Absorbing various Stimuli along the way. In 2001 he had a breakthrough track with ‘A lot of Radio’ on Flying Rhino Records with things really taking off from that point. Since then releasing on virtually all the major British psy-trance labels (Tip, Twisted, Dragonfly, Alchemy, Atomic and Nano Records) as well a variety of exotic international labels. He has released three solo albums and one collaborative album to date: 'High Diver' released on Dragonfly Records in 2003 a deep night time sound, 'Global Culture' in 2005 a more new full-on incarnation on Nano Records and as the AMD project 'Big Fish' a collaboration with producer Dick Trevor which became an instant trance classic also on Nano Records. Various experimental collaborations swiftly followed with the likes of Tristan, Laughing Buddha, Ans and Lucas. Such as 'We Are your Friends' and the Queens Park Derangers’ excellent ‘Create a Hippy’ released on TIP in 2006. In 2010 his third solo album 'Super Collider' came out on his own label 'Aphid Records' sealing his reputation as a cutting edge producer with an original and evolving deep and sometimes moody yet unmistakably British psychedelic sound. He has been rocking out digital EP's ever since. This November marking the eleventh EP release on Aphid Records. His unique style has bought him considerable international recognition. With regular party and festival bookings throughout the globe in India, Thailand, Japan, Israel, S.A., Brazil, South and Central America, U.S.A., Australia, Russia, Europe and the U.K. This year he has been busy as ever in the studio. With a healthy release schedule: 'Monolith' on the Matreia Festival compilation, 'Trapezium' on Kundalini Records’ 'Manana's Bananas' and a full-on night time four track EP with plenty of attitude and surprises "Outpost" with heavy weight psy-trance dj/producer Paul Taylor on Aphid Records. Hurtling down the psychedelic vortex comes the next Aphid Records ‘Middle Kingdom EP’ out in November on Aphid Records featuring collaborations with Atoned Splendor and Nirmal. Plus hot off the press soon to be released Aphid Moon – 'Cosmic Order' on Tristan’s new UK Trance comp on Nano Records.

Miracle is Nissim Trifonov from Israel.
Nissim started playing with basic music production software such as Scream Tracker and Impulse Tracker as a teenager in the 1990's, and invested considerable time into music until the age of 18.
In 2012 he attended  BPM college where he learned Electronic Music Mix & Mastering from one of the greatest artists in the Trance genre, Rami Shapira (Chakra), and built his own home studio.

He focuses mostly on Goa Trance production, drawing  inspiration from the great artists of the 90's and early 2000's, to mention a few: Astral Projection, Cosmosis, Man With No Name, Oforia, X-Dream, Transwave and many others.

We decided to call this e.p "The Truth" because we thought this is the most  appropriate name for an artist who sticks to his truth and does not produce for any other reason other than 100% pure heart quest. So take a big breath and dive with Miracle to the deepest levels of Trance!

SUN PROJECT gives a taste of from its upcoming album on Stereo Society Records, Poor Man’s Opera.

Let’s get the party rocking! Barely any other Psy Trance act approaches this motto in such a straight way like the S.U.N. Project does. Combining the highly interactive live atmosphere of a band with the hypnotic power of electronic dance music, their one-of-a-kind sound has been an integral part of the musical evolution of Psy Trance since 1996. Countless releases and spectacular stage appearances all around the world made S.U.N. Project a prime example for the huge creative potential of their scene.
Socialized in the Rock and Heavy Metal scene, guitarist Matthias Rumöller, bassist Marco Menichelli and drummer Maik Hinkelmann are first sceptical about the upcoming Trance movement of the early 90ies. But soon the trio from Hamburg discovers the excessive joy that comes with hypnotic, repetitive grooves and Sci-Fi sound effects. The possibilities of electronic music production open a fascinating new realm of creativity. However, the basic idea of a rock band shall remain the backbone of S.U.N. Project when they start producing Psy Trance under this moniker. On the one hand, the powerful, pumping sound has an unmistakable rocky edge. This feature is even more distinct in some songs that include catchy guitar riffs. On the other hand, the lively stage appearance with hand-played instruments, alien costumes and pyrotechnics is clearly reminiscent of a rock band.

The first S.U.N. Project record, the “Crazy Stories” EP, is released in 1996 on the legendary label Spirit Zone. It stands for the beginning of a remarkable rich output, but also a rich evolution of sound: In 2012 the 11th full-length studio album is released, the amount of single tracks and compilation titles reaches three-figure numbers at this point of time. The live show of S.U.N. project enjoys great popularity and was already part of countless festivals and parties in virtually every country where there is a Psy Trance scene. Although drummer Maik Hinkelmann leaves the project in 2011, there is no pressure drop. The live gigs keep up the energy they have become famous for, while support by new drummer Björn makes the shows probably even more lively and unique. In this way, S.U.N. Project consequently lives up to its motto: Let’s get the party rocking!
