A first for Hip-Hop radio - The Hardcore Classic cypher!

Open to all MCs and DJs, we want you to rhyme and cut in a weekly cypher with the best worldwide. Follow these steps to take part.

1. Download this beat.

2. Place the beat in your favourite recording program making sure to have it hard up against the zero mark.

3. Record your best 16 bar verse or scratch routine (the beat only goes for 20 bars - you start after the first 4 bars, provided as an intro).

4. Now export TWO copies. One with the beat and one with YOUR VOICE/SCRATCHES ONLY (without the music or effects please - we will put it back on the beat later and make you sound great). Make sure the mixdowns both begin at the zero point of the project (leaving in the 4 bars of silence - that way we put you 100% in time) and ends immediately after your verse. Now save both as a:

MONO, 16.bit, 44100khz, WAV file.

5. Have a listen back to make sure you're happy (and to make sure you didn't accidentally leave the beat in as well). Check the sizes too. If done proper the files will be no bigger than 6mgs each. If it is, something went wrong and you need to recheck your mixdown settings. Usually, it's not mono. Email us if you need assistance.

6. Email both files to us at hc.radio@hotmail.com making sure the email titled HC Cypher "your mc/dj name, your real name, where you are from, and which beat/date you are submitting for".

7. Then tune in to next weeks show, tell all your friends to, and listen to hear if you made the top 5 of the week.
