From cult local beginnings on the Berlin circuit, Rødhåd is now very much part of the global DJ highway. What initially turned heads was his ability to hold down long and hypnotic sets of loopy, moody house and techno all masterfully mixed in immersive ways. His productions, too, mixed sparse ambient designs with rolling techno grooves on labels like Dystopian and Token, and just this month he put out his debut album, Anxious. It’s a filmic meditation on beautifully bleak and eerie sounds and is another reason we love the man after he turned in a memorable closing set on our UFO stage at this year’s Dekmantel Festival. 

Over a ninety minute live mix recorded recently, he gets more energised with plenty of hurried techno and urgent synth lines all tightly weaving round each other. It’s a high pressure and enchantingly linear set that touches on Millsian space vibes, industrialism and unhinged apocalypse music in one smoothly mixed and sequenced session that will leave you out of breath.

Revelation Of Sound is pleased to present Rocko Garoni. Maybe it was coincidence that northern light Ocko Garen aka Rocko Garoni turned on the
radio 25 years ago - but you shouldn’t bet on it. The 90s and the beginning of rave culture were magnetic for him and crucial to the start of his musical career.
Rocko has left his mark on almost every puzzle piece in the scene – from being part of Zucker-Club in Bremen, an organizer of illegal warehouse / outdoor raves, to festival stages (Räuberhöhle / Fusion Festival) and being a label manager.
His sound is drifty, edgy and always melds his DnB past and Techno future.
Using his many years of experience, he is always testing out musical boundaries.
His sets sound like dystopian sunrises, where, from Germany to Israel, Netherlands or Brazil, no leg stands still. As a producer he is signed on Second State. His first EP, including a remix of Spanish acid hero Regal, was a great success. In 2019 he followed up with his next EP including a remix of Marco Bailey, 2020 with Ammoniak.
Other releases from Rocko are available on Odd Recordings, Substantiv, Trau-ma and Etruria Beat.

Extrawelt are busy this year and a buzz for their new music already exists so we are exited to release their brand new EP for Traum.
Their opening track "Mr Wednesday" is probably one of the most adrenalin packed tracks we have heard for a while. The track is a beast of a techno track constantly changing its color in a pace that pushes you to the limit. Don’t you think the break will give you relief, the opposite is the case... the break here seems to spark off new energy. Extrawelt do what they do best by letting their synths speak in a human syntax! And man how upset "Mr Wednesday" is! Raging with anger this track goes berserk and cries out loud. This is techno with its original message to shake off the dull skin of everyday life offering a parallel more personalized world. This is a topic which could not be more up to date. The second track "Little We Know" is nothing less than a rocking bass-line funketeer but draws more
on a melancholic state at times. But since we know Extrawelt it is not for long until they drop an uplifting sick theme in retaliation. This track is an emotional rollercoaster by any definition. And it has
the surprise at its side for example you will suddenly hear a melodic theme which you would like to hear in a new episode of Dr WHO!?
It is very clear by now that Extrawelt are full of creative ideas and could probably make a stunning bass drum out of a banana.
The third and last track "SEM" features a flow of heavily changing sequences but more in a way that sees the sound settle down, as we know it from dub music. Which is a good thing to do after two tracks that are tempo reflecting trax. Having said this Extrawelt spit out a machine made hi-hat pattern that elevates also this track towards techno madness. If you have ever seen one of Extrawelt’s live acts this EP very much verifies that. The flow of energy they generate can be highly addictive.

This set is one year old almost and it's a special one for me. KEMP was a legendary place. One of my favourites ever. And this Dazed State party with my brother @leonlicht was one of the most epic parties in my life.

For a long time I thought I would keep this set just for the people who were there. But after so long not playing and not sharing music, I decided to take it out of my treasure box and publish it!
