He’s no genre fundamentalist – instead, he connects dots across decades and styles, creating seamless journeys where house embraces techno, classics meet cutting-edge tracks, and live mashups happen in real time. Every mix feels natural, as if those tracks were destined to play together.
With decades of experience behind the decks, Irwin has mastered the art of reading a crowd. Preparation matters, but it’s his instinct in the moment that makes the difference – always pulling the right track, whether it’s a hidden gem from his deep back catalog or a brand-new cut fresh from today’s scene. His ear is rooted in history, yet firmly tuned to the pulse of the present.
Irwin’s story in electronic music goes beyond DJing. Since 1992, he has been creating spaces for people to come together – from organizing events to shaping Cologne’s underground as a resident at Liquid Sky, the legendary Elektro Bunker Parties, and Club Camouflage. He has also run two techno labels and contributed as an editor and writer for magazines such as Raveline, DJ Mag, Keyboards, Amazona, and Bonedo, documenting and pushing the culture forward.
For him, DJing is more than mixing records – it’s a lifelong mission: to bring people together through music, energy, and shared moments on the dancefloor.
