trata-se de uma edição, manipulação e apropriação de trechos de filmes e trilhas, onde recebemos diversas vezes um convite para dançar - convite esse que pode ser interpretado como não respondido, já que continuamos a receber outros, com diferentes atmosferas e intensidades.

Apesar do tom melancólico que um convite em aberto pode gerar, a faixa se desenvolve para uma incompletude projetiva, um convite em suspenso que torna o ouvinte, sujeito, implicado e parte da obra.

Counterbalance is a sound piece where I edited, manipulated, and appropriated dialogues from movie excerpts and soundtracks. 
The listener goes through different atmospheres and intensities, where several invitations to dance can be interpreted as unanswered.

Despite the melancholy tone that an open invitation can generate, the track develops into a projective incompleteness, a suspended invitation that makes the listener, subject - involved and part of the work.
