Using vintage synths is a thing, using them efficiently is another, and Mouissie does this masterfully well. On his anthemic gem Callisto - only his second production! - the right balance is found between modern and retro sound. Everyone's got a vice. Ours right now is Vhyce. A man whose sounds you can always rely on to hoist you out of that dark place and remember all that's good and funky in the world.

A long-standing operator on labels such as Future Disco and Boogie Angst, here we find the Belgian-based Portuguese-Italian making his debut on Pets with four blistering slabs of disco. A fine balance of groove, bass and cosmic nuances, we kick off with 'One Day We'll Float' where a bulbous party bassline springs from nowhere and instantly uplifts.

It's backed by plenty more goodtime gold: 'The Heart Take Fright' nods wryly at Yazoo while chugging from here to the horizon, 'Personal Numbness' is a much more contemplative, introspective jam while 'Electric Dreams' lives up to its name with a Moroder-like prowl that quickly turns into a full-on chase. I’m Biesmans—Belgian-born, Berlin-based. I make “Heart Groove”: house music that’s supposed to do three things: make you move, make you feel something, and connect you with the people around you.

The sound? Warm grooves, analog synths, melodies you’ll remember on the way home. Nothing overly complicated. Just music that works on a dancefloor — the kind that needs a few hours to really take you somewhere.

I’ve played some incredible club spaces: Panoramabar, Fabric, Fuse, Dedge. Festival stages: Tomorrowland, Pukkelpop, EXIT, Fusion. And plenty more rooms in between

My music’s been released on Running Back, Turbo Recordings, Correspondant, and my own label MUEM Records. Made an album called Trains, Planes and Automobiles, and put together the Watergate 28 compilation with people like Mathew Jonson, Zombies in Miami, Kasper Bjørke, and Shubostar.

I’m passionate about synths — spend way too much time in the studio messing with machines and posting (POVs) about it. That’s how the music gets made: trial, error, and finding sounds that hit right.

Currently working on a new album for 2026. Same mission as always: create moments on dancefloors where people lose themselves, feel good, and remember why they love this music in the first place.
That’s it. Physical, emotional, social. Everything else is noise.
