Written in the summer of 2017 and recorded in May by Marly Luske at Alchemix studios in Brisbane, the live session was sent off to Austin, Texas to be mixed and mastered by Erik Worfford.  There it was brought to life.  The opener to a 7 track mini album to follow early next year, Big Bad Echo continue to produce first grade psychedelia. 'Slowly Disappearing' is a meaningful journey that would easily slip into any BJM fans drive time playlist.  Heart felt lyrics, hazy synth, tremolo and 12 string hollow body's ocean of reverb sit perfectly in a almost tribal like setting of drum and bass.​

The members of Big Bad Echo are in some ways a weirdly mismatched bunch, but in others, completely suited to each other. Indeed, their unforgiving brand of slightly psychedelic, sun-bleached post-punk could only be made up of a collection of influences and ideas as diverse as the dudes themselves.
Starting as the mere songwriting outlet for frontman Mick Reddy in 2013, the infectious energy generated simply by adding more people to the equation soon proved overwhelming, and by late 2014, the band had grown into a solid 5-piece. Since then, they've been garnering a reputation as one of Brisbane's most respected live acts, playing frequent shows to freaked out, captivated audiences.
For now though, they're working on recording and playing all the time, and just being a band and doing what general bands do. Even right now, while you read this. That's what they're doing.
