this would have scored big at the right time -- it's a lot like Triumph to my ears; it's a solid tune with strong vocals and some wonderful surprise change/melody moments like "never the names"/"song is the same"

Happy Friday to all of you. I hope 2023 is treating you well so far. I’m doing my best to focus my free-range mind on creative endeavors; definitely the most positive use of my time. And to that end, I’m happy to admit I’m still keeping to my 2023 music goals (2 tracks a month). And the track I get to share with you today is particularly exciting.

It’s been a goal of mine for a few years now to try out one of Andre’s (noxpox: https://soundcloud.com/noxpox-page-12, https://noxpox.bandcamp.com/) open collabs. His most recent offering ‘kannmangebrauchen’ (https://soundcloud.com/noxpox-page11/noxpox-kannmangebrauchencan-be-used) was particularly enticing; and this resulting remix is an equally thrilling surprise for me. In fact, this might be the closest I’ve come to the 80s and 90s stylings of my favorite Industrial bands (Skinny Puppy, NiN, Ministry, Front 242, etc.). 

Of course, no GrevusAnjl remix would be complete without at least a little uplifting cuteness hidden in the folds (I tried to keep it dark and edgy. I really did. But the cuteness just seeps in). So if you’re in the market for adorable Industrial, I might have just what you need. I hope you enjoy my GrevusAnjl ‘Repurposed For Dance’ remix of a very cool noxpox original. :)

Le vieux Père Jenkins, d'en bas, parti en grand déluge.
Y pointait le ciel, les yeux grands ouverts de peur,
Criait après une boule de feu, qui brûlait avec fureur.

Oh, y'a vu ça tomber du ciel, mais qu'est-ce que ça pouvait ben être?
Jenkins jurait que ça chuchotait, pis que ça y parlait peut-être.
Avec une traînée de fumée pis un son comme un cri,
C'te chose du ciel, c'était comme un rêve inouï.
