SANELE MTHETHWA "Shibas" was born in Soweto, Gauteng on the 8th December 1993. Growing up he fell in love with music when his parents formed a band called Motherland with his mother as the lead singer, father as the producer and uncle as a keyboardist. His uncle taught him and his elder brother how to play keyboards and joined the band at the age of 7. He began his Dj career from the age of 10 in 2003. He is also a self-taught music producer and recording engineer of 14 years’ experience from 2009, producing and recording a variety of music from House, Hip-Hop, Afro-pop, Afro soul, Amapiano etc, including sampling music from his mother catalogue. 

In 2012 he produced several tracks for 2llyndo, a duo from Jabulani and they released a single called “The One '' featuring a contestant from Idols Mpho Mahlafunya (Cruza). Although it wasn’t as successful as they had hoped, they made waves throughout Soweto and most of all their area in Jabulani and Zola.

Young, vibrant Deejay/ Producer. Grew up on the outskirts of Cape Town in Khayelitsha. Got my musical influence from playing keyboard at church. Ever since then music is my companion! Need more?? Listen 2 the music!
