The original lineup was conceived in 2004 by bassist, Jim Loretangeli and guitarist, Guthrie Matthews as an outlet for their original material. Together with drummer, Dave Gladding, they released their CD, BOOM! on the independent Etroneks label. The primary focus of BBM is on all instrumental material that can best be described as "Nu Prog Fusion" which fuses the power of Nu Metal, the arrangements of Progressive Rock and the complexity and rhythm of Jazz Fusion.
