A boundary-pushing producer, DJ, and sound system specialist, Bigchoc carves their own path in the drum & bass scene—never following trends, always innovating. A true audio purist with a love for hardware and left-field sonic exploration, they embrace the role of the black sheep, bringing raw, refined, and deeply personal energy to their music.

Self-taught in an era before endless online tutorials, Bigchoc’s DIY approach shaped their distinctive sound. Since launching ESAF Records in 2018, they’ve dropped 19 releases, with additional cuts on Fokuz Records and Sub Wavelength Recordings. Collaborations with respected artists like Luke Truth and Robert Manos have further cemented their place in the scene.

Bigchoc’s music has earned airplay on BBC Radio, with standout tunes like Chi and Shelflife gaining traction. DJs and presenters regularly feature their tracks in weekly online shows and Mixcloud sets, keeping their sound in constant rotation.

As a resident DJ at Breakthru, the home of liquid and soulful drum & bass in Birmingham, Bigchoc delivers immersive, high-energy sets. They’ve also played at the Janbala Festival for two consecutive years, bringing deep, soulful selections to festival crowds. Beyond the music, their expertise in sound system setups ensures every event is a next-level experience.

With fresh projects on the horizon, Bigchoc continues to redefine expectations—pushing drum & bass into new territory while staying true to their vision.

An MC, Host and Lyricist, Birmingham’s Natty D is a versatile microphone champion who hones his craft across a wide range of sounds in underground dance music. 
After his dad and brother infused his young mind with a range of rave music alongside generous heaps of dub and reggae, he found a love for drum & bass, grime and bassline as a teenager. This eclectic mixing pot of sounds; from Bob Marley and Steel Pulse to Dizzee Rascal, Kano and the Ragga Twins gave him a solid foundation from which to draw inspiration for his own unique sound. 
After first picking up a microphone at Birmingham’s legendary Break Thru, he’s gone from strength to strength. As well as performing along the length and breadth of the West Midlands, Natty has gone on to play in cities such as Bristol, London, Liverpool and Manchester. He’s made his mark playing seminal events like Rupture and Rumble in the Jungle, at foundation venues like Corsica Studios and Bristol’s Blue Mountain. He's also performed at a multitude of festivals including: Balter Fest, Shambala, Valefest, MADE and NASS.
His choppy ragga style is a natural fit for jungle and rolling drum & bass but also acts as the perfect infusion for low tempo flavours such as dubstep, grime and roots and thanks to this, he’s had the honour of performing alongside a huge range of respected and influential selectors such as; Kenny Ken, Storm, Chimpo, Remarc, Serum, T>I, Loxy, Nicky Blackmarket,  N-Type, Dazee, Aries, Dillinja, Altern8, Kelvin 373, Charlie P, Cheshire Cat, Data 3, Double O, Jinx, K-Jah, Liz-E, Looney, Mark Dinimal, Margaman and Mrs Magoo. Not forgetting grime artists such as Slick Don and Flirta D
His ability to adapt to other genres of music has led him to host radio shows such as Radar, Bloc 2 Bloc and local radio station Newstyle. Natty D has had airplay on BBC Radio 1, WM and Dread Radio, Collaborating with local DJ's Skudkid and Slaine.
With over 15 releases on 15 different labels and the launch of his brand new label '0121 Recordings',  the future is looking bright for Natty D, with hopes for many more festival bookings and plans for an album in the near future.
