It’s been almost a year since Izo FitzRoy burst on to the scene with her debut single and ever since, this charismatic soul songstress has built an ever-growing fan base off the back of tireless touring and a series of strong singles from her debut album ‘Skyline’. Her winning combination of raw and powerful vocals and direct and honest lyricism has seen her gain support from the likes of Blues & Soul, Uncut, Eton Messy  and Echoes to name a few.

Written during her time living in New Orleans the title track from the album has become her live calling-card and this single package really packs a punch with not only the original version but three heavyweight remixes to accompany it. 

‘Skyline’ is an emotive and empowering gospel-tinged ballad that sees Izo deliver a message of how staying hopeful and focused on the future when going through troubles can help you overcome anything. At the turn of the millennium breaks legends Skeewiff had already tasted worldwide success under various musical monikers and their attention turned towards founding their own record label - Jalapeno Records. Primarily as a vehicle to house their new project and to champion like-minded acts producing high quality music they set about getting the house in order and preparing the first few releases...

Fast-forward almost twenty years and the label has evolved to become one of the most respected independents in the UK today, home to a host of talented Funk, Soul, Disco and Electronic artists with a worldwide reputation for quality. 

And a tangible landmark of exactly how far we have come is reaching the 250th official release on the label. 

When discussing what should mark this momentous milestone it only seemed right that we revisit some of the early classics that got us where we are and so it was decided that a Skeewiff record was the only possibility… 

The result is a collector's edition - bright red vinyl to stand out from the crowd housing a new unreleased version of their definitive track 'Coming Home Baby' with another fan favourite 'Triumph Stag' on the flipside.There's an unreleased stripped down mix of 'Coming Home Baby' on the digital too! 

In an age when many independent labels don't make it past their tenth release we feel it's a fitting tribute to an anniversary such as this. Here's to at least another 250 more…
