LOS CREEPERS RELEASE NEW EP “ONWARD TO ANNIHILATION”

Northeast LA punk rock veterans Los Creepers are kicking off their 16th anniversary by releasing their latest EP “Onward to Annihilation”, six blistering tracks of high octane punk rock. 

This album marks the debut of two new band members, Vocalist Javee Lopez and bassist John Hernandez. They add a new energy to the established foundation of long time members Alex Alvarez (guitar), Herman Ibarra (drums) and Jorge Rosas (guitar). While most bands tend to slow down as the time passes by in their careers, Los Creepers decided to take a different approach and have released their most aggressive album to date. 


The album begins at full throttle with the album title track “Onward to Annihilation”, and continues at a relentless pace, six songs in a 12 minute span. Los Creepers once again remain true to their roots, addressing the harsh realities of a world filled with war, anger and frustration at society, government, poverty, and heartbreak. Songs such as “Truthful Lies”, “No Regrets”, and “Boxcutter” are prime examples for the continued evolution of a band unafraid to challenge themselves musically and lyrically. 

Big plans are in the works for Los Creepers in 2012. In May, the band will be hosting a monthly residency at the Redwood Bar in Downtown Los Angeles to celebrate their 16 years of existence. Shows are schedule for every Tuesday night and will feature Los Creepers along with a variety of our closest friends and bands. Epitaph Records is an independent music label founded in Los Angeles by Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz. Early releases from a variety of punk heavyweights spawned what became known as the 90s punk explosion. 

Along the way Epitaph proudly launched its sister label ANTI-, representing unique and distinguished acts. From the beginning Epitaph’s mission has been to serve the musicians on its diverse and creative roster - an artist-first model, radical twenty years ago, and much imitated today.
