In the final single release before the highly anticipated album hits the shelves, Tropics’ ‘Idle Away’ makes an early appearance, packaged alongside a stunning remix from https://soundcloud.com/dialogg.

The original is rich with echoing vocals and warming pads, teetering over glitch ridden percussion and simplistic bass foundations. Aleksandir’s cut welcomes a more upbeat adaptation to the drums whilst evolving the melodic elements through arpegiated patterns and further eerie synth swells.

3 SixthSense residents featuring on one track ?? One may think this is an overload of filthy snobbery... What birthed as an idea between the 3 lads in an airport hotel room in Berlin over a year ago, has come to life, taking it's shape as 'Shop Talk'. A body of music that represents the merge of styles between Tom Baker, Unknown Concept and Jedidiah. 

This collab between our resis is part of the 15-track, At The Crossroads, Vol. 09 VA on Digital Structures, compiled by our very own Jedidiah. This release also officially marks him as the label's co-manager alongside Yuli Fershtat. 

No words were really needed, it's just all fuckin happening.. Though we do love talking shop every now and then ;)

Approaching Black's Vocal Remix takes off with a blissful atmosphere, in which we witness gorgeous piano stabs, LaMeduza's spell-binding vocals, and lush sound effects. Here's a preview of the opening track, which goes by the same name. The piano in the background of the intro I recorded at a layover at the airport in Paris. There was a an upright piano in the middle of the terminal and I had my field recorder with me, so I just gave it a go. You can still here people chatting and announcements in the background, which I really like. Airports are such surreal places, I felt like it worked well together with the surreal place I pictured when making this song.

Inspired by these bad moments, Hozho composed this track in a positive way of getting around the situation. Because there is no point in focusing on the bad things, it's time to look forward, it's "Time To Move On". Many emotions on this track, beautiful melodies, different beats, intelligent construction and mesmerizing vocals. In the end, it reflects the true concept of Melodark - the mix between light and darkness! For Hozho, music is not just music. It's a story.

I've come to realize that when you're happy, or when you’re down; whether something amazing happens in life, or a heavy storm has just hit. Music was always there. Playing in the background; guiding me through the night.

What intrigues people to fall in love with a certain style of music. Whether it be Techno, Rap, House, or even heavy metal. My mind was always appealed and attracted to understanding a person's love for a particular genre of music. I find that each kinds of music have its very own sets of poetical nature, that makes it unique from other types of tunes. I wanted to understand, what makes people excited, and what they look forward to in a particular style of tracks. So that I can also be a part of it. The guitar riffs, the speed of the drums, the knife-like sounds of the high hats, or how the bass wave travels through our bodies, and shakes us at our very core and soul. It's just sound, love, and education.
