[1/27/22] The second improv of the night begins suddenly and quickly finds a nice drumless groove. Guitar motifs emerge and repeat against Dave’s staccato piano loop, reaching some nice moments along the way. Very light editing and overdubs leave this inspired performance mostly as it happened. [12/18/21] After kicking around this new piano idea for a couple weeks, it gets captured here during a rare solo Friday. The jazzy chords and beat somehow give it a festive, cozy-in-winter vibe. Overdubs in January 2023.

[8/17/23] This jam is the start of the third set, just after Pete and Nick took off. Curt (guitar) and Dave (bass) lean hard on the Hologram pedal to create this jellyfish forest of a thing. Overdubs, mixing and glue arrives in September/October of 2024.

[4/12/24] Grinding out another improv. Prepare for sudden mood jumps. Overdubs in November '24.

The Sour Nebula

[1/25] Messin' round is all. String some jazz chords together and pretty 'em up with some orchestral overdubs and you land in these woods. Nice woods though. James Bond meets Mantovani.

Monarch

[May-June 2025] We be messin'. Copious sounds are tossed into the audio blender and puréed into this piquant froth. Diddy Kong Racing meets 007 meets Mantovani.

Nova

[6/20/25] The last song of the jam. Curt and Dave are both on keys. Dave switches to bass halfway through. Rick drums and sings while Brad dishes out some stinging wah guitar. A fine way to end the night.

[6/28/19] It feels good. The last improv of the night finds the boys in peak form, trading licks and finding paths. Rick starts a bassline and off we go. Graham keeps the beat while Curt and Dave parry firehose guitars across the many moods and shifting sand. Damn, it's good to make music with friends. It's... just that simple.

Believe

We're a hobby band that records our weekly jam, hoping to capture unique or inspired moments that happen by. Improvs are later mixed and overdubbed to further extract them from the ether. We also pepper in originals and covers.
