We've have been throwing some absolutely wicked Jungle and Drum & Bass parties over the last year or so and in that time we’ve grown to be one of the top parties in the city. To mark a year of activity we’re stepping things up in a big way to deliver a huge line-up across FORGE’s Main Room and Workroom spaces. Some of the best DJ's and MC's in the scene have played at Unity over the last 12 months, artists like Mantra, Equinox, Digital, Dead Man's Chest, MC Chickaboo, MC Gusto to name a few. Energy Breakfast 2024 10 06 - Brand New Liquid D&B

The prolific Modular II are back with another EP of devastating beats. The EP starts with the energetic beats of The Fog as beguiling piano and heavenly pads juxtapose with menacing bass stabs. Ahsoka Tano is up next with more infectious melodies and crisp beats that explode into a frenzy of amen-infused soundscapes. Snowflakes shows the duos lighter side as serene pads and tranquil beats float beautifully with a crescendo with stunning evolving arpeggios. The EP ends with the futuristic sounds of Robotic Funk with stuttering rhythms, electro-inspired notes and cyborg-sounding bass. We're sure fans won't need to wait ling for their next unmistakable beats to arrive so watch this space closely.

Having fun by assigning different ableton loop start points to the pads. Take note, only the break programming is live, the bass and other samples were sequenced, and it's just a bit of fun. The samplers behind weren't used in this, but there's an idea for another video ;). This one wasn't exactly challenging, but I'm hoping to do some more videos which will gradually get more live, and step some of the beat patterns and edits up some more also. This one is pretty much a remix of Dillinja - Ja Know Ya Big, but with a nod to a few other Jungle tunes also.

I guess the mpc purists may have something to say, but like I say just a bit of fun. And Jungle is completely lost on me if the beats arn't computer tight.
