For the first vinyl release on Yellow Stripe this year we have veteran dark D&B scientist Limewax with two stunning tracks. The prolific producer is on fire in both solo , Goldberg Variations or the evil trio The Hard Way formats, and he proves it once again with the anthemic 'Lumpeth', a hard hitting piece in his usual memorable, high energy style. The flip side is a more experimental bit with nods to older days of the skullstep sound, but 'Various Castrations' is just as lethal with its hypnotic use of drum and synth sounds, all brutally executed.

Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2010, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, a few years in to the game, Skankandbass decides to take on the role of a record label to put together a series of free download singles which aims to further help spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.

Elias Traynor is an experimental music producer from the South West of England whose music can best be described as a fusion of footwork, early 2000's R&B and, most prominently, Drum & Bass. Similarly, Third Degree predominantly dabbles with rough, neuro-funk mid range sounds and clean breakbeats, but he proves his versatility by firing out more melody-driven liquid tracks and even some slower, experimental pieces.

The two producers combine for SNB016, offering 'Contrivance' and 'Warning Signs' which features Charlie Brix - a London born, Bristol based dwelling vocalist specialising in underground music and nominated for DNBA 'Best Vocalist' 2016. Expect to hear a lot more from these producers in 2017!

Frozen Leaves (The Intersection EP)

Big Riddim Recordings was created in 2008 by AK1200, who had previously worked with well known UK drum and bass labels, Suburban Base and Moving Shadow. 

Distributed by Cygnus Music and Triple Vision, Big Riddim and Big Riddim VIP, respectavely have had several releases, featuring artists such as Tech Itch, Kemal, Evol Intent, Muffler, The Clique, Junior Reid, Digital, Zardonic, Genr8, NC17, Black Sun Empire, Memtrix, State of Mind, Counterstrike, Robyn Chaos, Fragz, Ogonek, Gancher & Ruin, Cooh, Freqax and many others, including AK and W.P.L himself.


In 2011, AK expanded the label, and welcomed partner Giulio Ascoli aka W.P.L, from Italy. 
Together they remodeled the company, and have created a very aggressive campaign for the global sustenance of Hard Drum and Bass music in the future.
