It's critical, as Mel J would say, knows firsthand how the negativity of a broken home and hard life can either make you or break you. Mel Jones rapper and dancer born in Brooklyn but raised in the Bronx, decided not to let the negativity in his life break him.

Mel found his savior in music. He always wrote rhymes with his cousin but decided to use his dance skills to pave the way. Performing all over New York as a dancer Mel loved the stage and knew, now was the time to kick off his music career. Mel is now a college student and works with kids while grinding to make his dreams come true.

Mel J, with a one of a kind swag and humble personality is willing to put in the work with his dope rhymes, and killer freestyle and choreographed moves. Mel plans on given the world something different. Given the chance to make it in this industry he plans to infuse his troubled life story and convey it through music and dance.

Unsigned and independent he has released 8 music videos and has hopes of dropping his first EP this year. It's Critical, Mel J on rise.
