DJ Hasse is the alter ego of Erik Danielson—co-founder of Västkransen Records and one half of the duo Bike Thieves. Written and produced in the spring of 2023, his solo debut ”Hasse’s Fabrication EP” is now ready for the shelves. With two original tracks and a remix by Stockholm’s up-and-comer DJ Beverage, the record delves through styles and genres that Erik loves and always includes in his DJ sets.

Born and raised in the Swedish province Dalarna, Stockholm resident Jo Bubbles (aka Jonas Dahlström) has previously released music on Parkway Records and put out several self released titles, most recently on the cassette venture Makemake tapes. 

On his first outing on Västkransen Records, Jonas opens his toolbox of subtle grooves and tweaking melodies. A journey into electro, dub and italo-infused house, “Hidden Place EP” features three original club cuts and a mind-bending DnB remix from Stockholm’s hardware veteran Parallax Deep. As one of the tougher releases in Västkransen’s catalogue to date, this record doesn’t just offer solid dancefloor material, but a genuine musical treat.

The Stockholm duo Ella Guru made waves with their 2023 debut “No Strings Attached”, blending deep house with breezy balearic guitars. Since then, guitarist Tommy Galento and rhythm maker Daniel Strand have been joined by bassist Håkan Engström. His analogue basslines have not only made Ella’s sound more organic, but also pushed the band’s music even further onto the dance floor.

On their new record “Good Vibes Only”, the trio pays tribute to the afro-funk, disco and house of the late 20th century. With two original tracks and a powerhouse remix from Västertorp’s rising force Funky Loffe, the record delivers three electrifying cuts crafted for the club’s peak hours.

In October 2025, Västkransen Records releases its 10th record — a milestone double 12" vinyl compilation featuring eight tracks from some of Stockholm’s finest dance music producers, DJs and club heads. A celebration of the city’s underground electronic music scene, Västkransen 10 brings together familiar names from the label’s past as well as DJs making their record debut. What they all share is a vital role in the sound and spirit of Stockholm’s dancefloors today.
 
Launched in 2017, Västkransen Records grew out of Gården – a seasonal open-air party held beneath a highway on the border between the neighborhoods of Västberga and Midsommarkransen. Set in a place where industrial landscapes meet nature, this location has shaped both the party’s unique atmosphere and its blend of funk grooves, disco sounds and rawer house beats. Starting a label was a way to keep that energy going and showcase artists and selectors with few outlets in a city often drawn to darker and harder strains of dance music.

Bike Thieves are Daniel Strand & Erik Danielson, two long-time comrades sharing a penchant for gritty house and disco. Bike Thieves have arranged Stockholm's mighty open-air party Gården since the summer of 2014 and run @vastkransen Records since 2017.
