"Irises is one of several paintings of irises by the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, and one of a series of paintings he made at the Saint Paul-de-Mausole asylum in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France, in the last year before his death in 1890.

Van Gogh started painting Irises within a week of entering the asylum, in May 1889, working from nature in the hospital garden. There is a lack of the high tension which is seen in his later works. The painting is full of softness and lightness. Irises is full of life without tragedy. He called painting "the lightning conductor for my illness" because he felt that he could keep himself from going insane by continuing to paint. "

Stepped into the electrifying energy of Amsterdam’s nightlife, bilgeco commanded stages at established venues like WesterUnie and -the iconic- Loft alongside international artists under the Hunkering label. A collaboration with Berlin based Sound of Utopia took him back to his homeland, where he has been a resident in multiple editions of the Dream of Utopia Festival.

In his spellbinding sets, he embarks on nothing short of a magical journey: organic house blended with dreamy oriental melodies, powerful African percussions, bouncy house beats and spacey synths. He acts as a harmonious force, a navigator of sound who traverses borders, genres and cultures with finesse.
