Chilliwack started in 1970. Over the intervening years we made lots of albums, and had lots of peaks and valleys in our career. Some big hits happened like Fly At Night, My Girl (gone gone gone), Whatcha Gonna Do and several others. Now mostly we play fairs, festivals, show rooms and theatres. We love playing music so we keep on. Why not? It's fun to play and people enjoy it. 

As the main writer in the band, my focus has shifted over the years. After a couple decades in the boardrooms of Socan and the Songwriters Association I realized how important copyright and human rights were to me. And eventually the right of all beings on this planet to life and  to not be thoughtlessly destroyed by humans sank in as well. 

My songs have often reflected these things, but now more than before. 

I'm hoping that like a pebble, our new song TAKE BACK THIS LAND will cause ripples everywhere that like minded people will resonate with. Together we can all stand up for the deeper values that we share. 

Ripples will become waves....and hey
