Following on from last year’s colossal success, Hungarian producer Jay Lumen is set to drop a two track EP on the Kittball imprint this February. 
Jay Lumen has been making a serious dent in the Beatport Overall Charts in recent years by making a habit out of recurring Top 10 chart appearances. The talented producer has also achieved a slew of number ones within the Tech House and Techno categories such as with ‘The Drummer’, ‘Get Ya!’ as well as his massive remix of Kevin Saunderson’s ‘The Sound’. Furthermore with only a month into 2014 Lumen has already seen ‘Say What’ and ‘Nobody’ achieving number 5 and 7 positions in the Tech House charts respectively, an early forecast of another thriving year for the artist.
Continuing this momentum into February, Jay Lumen’s upcoming release on Kittball is one which will undoubtedly follow suit. ‘Find Myself’ is a percussive beast complete with drum rolls and a punchy hook to forge a track geared for that peak time dancefloor frenzy. On the other hand ‘Radio Ready’ provides a more debauched affair, using a concoction of pulsing bass, whirring synths and remorseless build ups which continuously fuel the intensity of this unbelievably sinister cut.

Copy Paste Soul drops a fresh EP via his 2 Swords imprint this October, entitled ‘The Push’ and
backed with a remix from PMR’s No Artificial Colours.

2014 has been yet another exciting year for rising producer Copy Paste Soul, with the re-launch of his 2
Swords imprint which recently featured a remix from Laurent Garnier, new material surfacing on
Audiojack’s Gruuv label, and a remix of heavy-hitting D&B act High Contrast, Copy Paste Soul’s presence
continues to rise. 

Here see him push on with some more original content for his 2 Swords label, which in
recent months has picked up support from the likes of Oliver $, DJ Sneak, Friend Within and Gorgon City.

Kicking things off is the original mix of title cut ‘The Push’, seeing Copy Paste Soul employ his signature
bass-heavy, spellbinding style. Taking the lead are the climbing arpeggio synth lines, bubbling delayed
tones and chuggy bass stabs, while the ever-blooming dynamism of the drum programming keeps things
in an ever-enticing state throughout the compositions six-minute duration.

Following we see MadTech Records / PMR artists No Artificial Colours step up on remix duties. The pair
add their signature shuffled swing to the rhythmic aspects of the interpretation, while bringing the melodic
elements down to a more reduced state with dreamy atmospherics and tension building strings
meandering around the bumpy bass groove.

Rounding off the package is a second original from Copy Paste Soul entitled ‘Before’, veering back to the
old school, all-encompassing house style 2 Swords does so well. Copy Paste Soul utilizes failsafe house
tropes such as bright chord stabs, raw 909 rhythms and stuttering organ licks, alongside modern bleeps
and mind-bending effects programming to create the classic-meets-contemporary sound he’s become
known and loved for in recent years.

Tom Szirtes, aka Shur-i-kan, has built a stellar reputation over the years with his albums on the excellent Freerange Records, along with releases on his own Dark Energy records. We’ve long been a fan of his music, and when Tom Middleton introduced him to us and we heard “My Love” for the first time we knew we were on to a winner.

At the darker end of his musical spectrum, “My Love” has all the hallmarks of an Anjunadeep classic; brooding strings, an emotive vocal refrain and one hell of a bassline. A complete dancefloor weapon, tipped by Radio 1’s Danny Howard as an Ibiza anthem in the making. 

“Feel Free” channels a similarly moody vibe, with Christina Coronel’s trippy vocals rising over brooding groove and spacey techno atmospherics.

The latest drum & bass wonderkid to come from the Hospital Records stable, Keeno works wonders on his remix of “My Love”, taking the staccato bassline and building an monster of a tune around it, packed with soulful melodies and epic breakdowns.

Youandewan made his Aus Music debut last year and the result was pretty damn fine.

Hailing from our beloved Berlin but with a strong Canadian background, Ed Ed was already a name in our radar for some time. His involvement with Sasse's amazing Moodmusic imprint and recent appearances in Defected and Noir releases gave him a quick rise and it didn't take long for his dancefloor melting beats to make their way into our catalogue.

He delivered an outstanding EP for us, filled with clever vocal samples and a great club appeal.

"Caught Up" starts with a vocal break and showcases a great sampling work creating different climates all building around a killer funk groove, lots of trickery and naughty bass will make this one a memorable one when dropped at any club.  

"Louis Lane" is all about heavy bass stabs, evergrowing synth progressions, big breakdowns and sweet rhodes additions, need we say more?

We close this masterpiece with "Meltdown", a peak hour groovy number that sways around a phat modulated bass synth and tops things up with intense strings, disco drums and hypnotic vocals.

Ed Ed definitely built the perfect club toolbox, we are very happy to offer his OFF debut and Im sure you will enjoy this as we do.
