A revival of the West Coast sounds from the ’50s and ’60s is happening right now in the Midwest! The Real Gone travels back in time to rock the classic music of The Ventures, The Shadows, and Dick Dale, then resurfaces with surfed out versions of modern hits from The Pixies, Muse, and more.

The Real Gone has been bringing authentic surf rock and rockabilly to Chicagoland since 2007. The genre plays well in all situations. The Real Gone’s take on The Ventures’ “Fugitive” was played on air on 93xrt, they’ve opened for Southern Culture on the Skids at City Winery and other national acts at Naperville’s Ribfest, Chicago’s Taste of Randolf Street and Reggie’s Rock Club. The band has been well suited and hired for corporate and private parties, burlesque and variety shows, car shows, and charitable events. Let their sonic waves wash over your event! You’ll wish you had a surfboard. 

The musicians of The Real Gone are seasoned players with experience in a myriad of genres. PHIL LAZZARI and BRET FIGURA have been band mates for years. They have opened up for such artists as Clint Black, Drive-By-Truckers, Melvin Sparks, Fareed Haque, Caitlin Carey (Whiskeytown) & Thad Cocrell, Devil in a Woodpile, Anna Fermin’s Trigger Gospel, Reckless Kelly and more. 

JOE RAUEN is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music. He has performed extensively across the United States and his music has appeared on NPR’s Snap Judgement. 

Comedian and actor Gilbert Gottfried, a man Stephen King once called “a national treasure,” talks with the show business legends, icons and behind-the-scenes talents who shaped his childhood and influenced his comedy.

Along with co-host and fellow pop culture fanatic Frank Santopadre, Gilbert is joined by comics, actors, musicians, talk show hosts, writers and other eyewitnesses to Hollywood history, including Bruce Dern, Chevy Chase, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Adam West, Steve Buscemi, Micky Dolenz, Jim Gaffigan, Judd Apatow and DOZENS more, for a funny, frenetic, fly-on-the-wall look at showbiz then and now (but mostly then.)
