"Autumn Rains" is the second installment in a trio of neoclassical solo piano albums composed, performed, and produced by Andrew Souter. These projects have been two decades in the making and represent a return to traditional music composition, engaging song-writing, and the pure passion of emotional story-telling. This trio represents Andrew's most personal and intimate music. It is quite literally a love project. We hope it may help you on your journey, as it has us...

"Autumn Rains" is music inspired by the spirit of Agape. It is an album dedicated to the concept of spiritual love and universal compassion clothed in the metaphor of transcendental natural beauty. It is an album that simultaneously expresses deep love for both the creator as well as the creation. It is said God gave us music so that we could pray without words. It could be added that nature was provided as an example of exactly how to do this effectively. In this spirit, Autumn Rains is a prayer of gratitude for the opportunity to learn from the natural beauty of this world, and an expression of a sense of respect for the inescapable universal equality that nature imposes. It humbly attempts to capture deep feelings of awe, granduer, idealism, and a belief in the innate goodness of the world even when we all face exceptionally hard lessons.


Andrew Souter -- Benevolent Force

The concept of "Love Away" refers to the idea of loving someone from a distance, either physically or emotionally. It can occur for a variety of reasons, such as a long-distance relationship, unrequited love, or simply the need for space and time apart.
 
In some cases, loving someone from a distance can be a positive thing, as it allows individuals to maintain their independence while still enjoying a romantic connection. It can also provide an opportunity for personal growth and self-discovery. However, it can also be challenging, as distance and separation can cause feelings of loneliness, sadness, and anxiety.
 
In a long-distance relationship, for example, loving someone from a distance requires a great deal of trust, communication, and commitment. Partners must find ways to stay connected despite the physical distance between them, whether through phone calls, video chats, or other forms of communication. It can be difficult, but if both partners are willing to put in the effort, the relationship can be strengthened and deepened over time.
 
On the other hand, loving someone from a distance can also occur when one person's feelings are not reciprocated. In this case, the individual must learn to accept the situation and move on, even though their feelings may linger. It can be a painful process, but it is important to remember that time and distance can help heal the heart.
 
Overall, the concept of "Love Away" recognizes that love can exist even when physical proximity is not possible or practical. While it can be challenging, it can also provide an opportunity for personal growth and a deeper understanding of love and relationships.

'Scenes from the four seasons' is a collection of unreleased tracks and b-sides from 2012, running through the four seasons and stopping at some intimate moments in Winter, a tranquil evening in Autumn, two seaside scenes between Spring and Summer. 

I decided to have all these tracks together in this collection not only because of the common theme, but above all because, when I started working on my first modern classical album, that will be released later this year, I didn't want to left all these works incomplete, even if they were mostly expression of ideas and style still imperfect and evolving.

However I'm sure you'll find a moment of peace and tranquillity in these notes, and even some passages that represents your life during the seasons, an intimate moment, as when you're at home and the snow starts falling in winter, or when you first see the seaside in spring.
