Be free, don't 'explain' yourself and never ask and/or just go for tolerance, as that puts you in a ''lower'' postion. All human beings all fundamentally equal.

Wordcolour’s Bleep mix delivers the same sort of leftfield yet eminently danceable techno stylings that one hears on the producer’s Lapsus Records EP Tell Me Something. Bookended by more abstract cuts - a computer-age Fourth World sound design from Xactus at the start, FaltyDL’s woozy IDM/breakcore joint ‘Blueberry Moon’ at the close - the rest of the mix finds Wordcolour serving up club innovations from artists such as Piezo, Medlar and AYA.

Bristol label Idle Hands has always been an incubator for exceptional local talent, but even so Daisy Moon’s debut ‘Geometry Of Curves’ EP last year pulled shapes that made everyone take notice – blending gossamer ambient pop vocals and melodies with the south-west city’s reputation for club ready beats.

While this was her intro to the wider world, it’s built on a rock solid foundation. Cutting her teeth as a DJ at the Idle Hands-affiliated club night Brstl, she’s a member of Bristol/Berlin collective Housework, alongside fellow FM favs Shanti Celeste, Gramrcy and Golesworthy, and a co-founder/tutor of Mix Nights, a DJ course and community encouraging women to learn to mix in a safe, welcoming environment. 

With a monthly Relations show on Noods alongside her sister Florence, and guest spots for the likes of Rinse and NTS, she’s as fluid in techno and electro as she is garage and breaks. Recorded in lockdown though, her FM podcast changes tack for a deranged deep dive into experimental chuggers, industrial broken beats and otherworldly techno. Welcome to the dark side of the Moon.
