Synthbiont & Anassimandrus is the ambient/experimental project born at the end of 2018 by the collaboration between Nicolò Faggiani and Tommaso Gobbo.
Their musical background comes from different musical experiences as DJs, vinyl collectors, and founders of Electronic Music Culture podcast series.
Making converge their love for electronic sounds, field recording, and meditative experiences, Nicolò and Tommaso shaped Synthbiont & Anassimandrus project around the research of the deepest ambient atmospheres. The core idea is to create musical journeys in which the listener can enjoy an immersive and emotional experience in a unique soundscape.

About the Mixtape
Recorded at Paradigm Festival 2023 at the Valhalla stage, the mix is a 3-hour music journey combining ambient carpets, organic field recordings, mystical traditional music, and experimental sounds. We wanted to explore new sounds and releases as well as to come back to our vinyl archive, to re-discover ambient gems that we collected over the years.

@Kondaktor compiles music from the Interwar Years (1922-1940), a tumultuous time of political divide between monarchists and supporters of democracy, where Greece saw the influx of refugees from Asia Minor in 1922, went through the economic Crash of 1929, the return of monarchy and the Metaxas dictatorship. The mix creates a vivid portrait of this period and invites connections with the Athens of now, in a present filled with its own kind of uncertainty and economic stress.

Beau Wanzer’s entry for Bleep’s mix series sees the Chicago mainstay present a selection of rare gems of which he refers to as ‘degenerate duds’.
