LA based singer/songwriter Miki Rose & Brighton based producer El. Train come together to deliver their five track EP 'Over & Over.' They first collaborated on the track 'Control' back in January for El. Train's 'Somewhere Between' EP. Whilst Miki was in the UK in May the two decided to get in the studio to record some music and they managed to flesh out 4 or 5 demos in a day. A couple of months sending files back and forth over the Internet and they finally managed to settle on five tracks that would form the basis of the EP.

Kayloo & Silo - Cadillac

We have been waiting for this collaboration to happen. Thankfully, it did and the wait has been been worthwhile. Paris meets Leuven, where  Kayloo and Silo both compliment each other so well in 'Cadillac'. The title pretty much speaks for itself, as it is an ideal track for driving or jogging into the pink sunset. With Silo's signature chords floating over Kayloo's 808 basslines, the track builds itself into a smooth slo-mo house tempo, showcasing the duo's versatility.

We now officially present the first original score for pasteelo.

All artists on the compilation are dedicated beatmakers/producers who have all made their mark on the Copenhagen beat scene - each with their own unique sound and technique, either sample-based beats or beats crafted on live instruments. Common to all of them is the dedication to creating organic soundscapes driven by passion and love for the culture - regardless of whether it's built on the foundation of boom bap or in more self-expressive directions.

Several of the beats have been stored on samplers, beat machines and hard drives for years - these machines are in a sense like time capsules, containing data based on creative thoughts and sounds from a certain time in space.. but the fact is that these sounds remain fresh and sparkling new until someone exports them.

That's basically what we've done - unlocked the chambers of hidden gems and cut it onto vinyl. Past, present and future - this is the Time Capsule.

A testimony to a movement that never goes out of style.. at least in our part of the galaxy!
