Lucien was the first track of The Liminal, written around this time last year. As with most of my songs (and indeed, the whole of this EP), it was written during a time of intense depression and disassociation, in which I was trying to 'find myself' through means of self expression. 
Heavily inspired by Michel Foucault's concept of the heterotopia, and specifically his writing on mirrors in relation to this topic, I wanted to present a track that reflected the violent sense of dysmorphia I was experiencing at the time, through the lyrics, vocals, and ambient textures.
