Last Sunday’s broadcast went out on the radio but didn’t get posted as a podcast. But it’s so important that we’re replaying it again on the radio and posting it here so our podcast audience stays up to date. When the overturn of Roe v Wade happened, I uploaded a post encouraging a response of humility. The response was surprising. Imagine Christians getting angry about humility. People thought I was against rejoicing. Dallas Willard once said, “Christians don’t know how to be right.” And this is true. The reality is that those who don’t fully understand what it takes to obtain a win also often don’t understand how to maintain a win. But if you’ll live listening to God rather than trying to impress him, he’ll teach you how to walk in every circumstance and how to respond in every moment. Don’t let the response of people to your obedience to God to sway you from the path of his Holy Spirit and his voice. So get your Bible, and listen deeply, and let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart. How you walk before God is how you live before men.

Jesus Christ came to confront our perspectives with truth, not through a thundering voice from the heavens but as God in the flesh, living among us. He didn’t rely solely on miracles to validate His message; often, He told those He healed to keep silent about it. Why? Because He valued communication through words, inviting people into discourse. As John 1 declares, He is the Word made flesh, stepping into our story to confront us with the truth of Himself.

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6, NASB). Not a way, but the only way to the Father. When we anchor our lives in Him, we find wisdom that confounds, challenging us to either hold fast to what we believe or embrace a new and living way.

The Truth Cannot be Silenced
