The debut release from new London label Lost Records sees Darius Syrossian in full swing with the superb ‘Anything Weird’ EP backed with a standout remix from label bosses Leftwing & Kody…

Darius Syrossian has become a leading light in House music’s current generation since bursting
on to the scene almost 10 years ago. Building a reputation for quality productions and
performances that has seen him in perpetual demand, he has releases for labels such as Viva,
OFF Recordings and Area Remote. Now the Leeds based DJ/Producer teams up with a brand
new imprint brought to us by the hotly tipped production duo Leftwing & Kody.

The ‘Anything Weird EP’ kicks off with the original version of ‘I’ll Do Anything’, a beautifully
produced slice of tough House music with a subterranean bouncy bassline, classic techno
cymbals and snares and an infectious old school vocal line, quality stuff. The original version is
followed with a remix from label bosses Leftwing & Kody who put their own audibly arousing
twist on Syrossian's track - adding in some irresistible fluttering claps and chopping up the
vocals to add a different intensity to the whole vibe. Faster and with a unique fierceness, it's a
remix that remains on par with the original.

The final track of the EP shows the breadth and true talent of Syrossian; 'I'm Not Weird Your
Just Normal' has a deep growling bass and truly contagious chord harmony, adding a little
element of humour and wonky fairground vibes to the track.
This is a killer debut from the Lost Records label and another winner from the ever-reliable
Darius Syrossian.

Hot Creations favourite and Paradise resident Patrick Topping is back onboard the seminal imprint with the hotly anticipated, two track release, Be Sharp Say Nowt.

Road tested on the world’s biggest stages and at the most notorious parties, title track Be Sharp Say Nowt encapsulates Patrick’s signature sound and has proven to be his biggest track of the year. “The gospel vocal from LaShun Pace is amazing!” says Patrick, “I'm so happy to have it finally come out on Hot Creations”. Spearheading the new wave of electronic music producers coming from the North of England, Patrick Topping has made a name as a prolific producer, securing seven different Beatport number 1s since his debut release in 2013. His accolades also count two DJ Awards for Best Newcomer and Track Of The Season for Forget, as well as DJ Mag’s Best Tune in their Best of British Awards. It’s only been one year since Ireland’s Rebuke put out his first release, yet his original sound has already catapulted him to the top of the class, and he makes his debut on Dirtybird with a two track EP, “Jump Ship”. 

The unique way Rebuke uses percussion alongside rolling bass and 90’s-era stabs on “Jump Ship” immediately grabbed our attention, and the cascading drums over the big bottom bass of “The Pipe” is a striking piece of music that won’t go unnoticed in any set.
