Known for his collaborations with AK-Industry, Billy S. has already learned his production skills proper, and developed a trademark style and quality branding this release that is bound to place him center-stage. The opener “Harsh & Soft” seems somehow conceptual, with its combination of sturdy beats with long breaks and deep, experimental atmospheres. “Internal Conflict” and “Eternal Hope” are also fuelled by that contrast of harsh beats and emotional backdrop, before “Reason of Passion” takes the full soundtrack style route. The picture is then completed by NOISJ regular Desolation, who delivers a doomed remix. Be aware this sad motion might have a bad pharmacological interaction with antidepressants!

This mix shows a different side to our podcast series as we take things super deep. Taking you on a journey to the outer realms of the space-time continuum, Cloutier touches down with some of the most intelligent techno all interwoven into a seriously classy electronic tapestry. Hypnotic would be an understatement.

There are few musicians who manage to explore the convergence between techno and experimental as successfully as David Letellier. Known as @kangding-ray, he has been producing for almost a decade, releasing his music exclusively on Raster-Noton and Stroboscopic Artefacts. The aesthetic domains of these two labels epitomizes Kangding Ray’s complex sound—it’s an aesthetic that tests boundaries, evolving tirelessly in its exploration of texture, rhythm, and sound design. Letellier’s foundations in rock and musique concrete give his music a vitality and uniqueness that has won fans the world over, from discerning avant-garde–electronica listeners, all the way to devoted clubbers.

This set is a partial recording of a DJ set KR made last year in a club. Kangding Ray has long been a favorite at The Bunker and we're looking forward to having him join us at The Bunker at Good Room here in Brooklyn on April 28, 2018. Billy S. emerged from the Swiss underground scene in 2008, where he performed in the most experimental and hard style of Hardcore music. Then he began to explore various Berlin scenes where he performed under the labels Splatterkore Noiz and Cathartic Experience and in events such as Memento Mori, Tacheles, the famous Fuckparade & Nature One.

Dark, disturbed and unstoppable. Billy S, first joined as an artist and now as co-manager of the label Nekrolog1k Recordings.Including the construction of the Nekrolog1k studio in 2012 and the launch of various projects under the label name Agnost1k and organizing Nekro Nights around Europe.

Since then, he continues to promote Industrial Hardcore in all it’s form throughout Europe, both as Billy S. and in the trio as Nekrolog1k Live! His own productions and many collaborations with Ak-Industry, remixes by Ophidan and Switch Technique allow him to explore his various styles between

UK-Hardcore, Darkcore and under labels such as Dark Descent, The Third Movement, Spirit of Progress & Agnost1k Recordings. Today, he continues to explore hard electronic music with different projects.
