Johnny wasn't too bright
Always up for a fight
There was nothing anybody could tell him
He staggered into the bar
Fresh from crashing his car
And nobody cared enough to expel him

She was a fisher of men
She'd proved it time and again
She could haul'em in like so many walleye
Johnny angled her way
Like a willing filet
Lining up for her little fish fry

Johnny took the bait
He swallowed Hook Line & Sinker
In fact he couldn't wait
He was a doer not a thinker
It took her less than a minute to troll his cards and his cash
Johnny thought it was a party till he couldn't find his stash

She'd cruised this harbor before
So she sailed out the door
Leaving Johnny in her wake on a barstool
He was dazed and confused

Floundering in his little tidepool

She floated on down the street
As Johnny got to his feet
Knowing there's no way he could catch her
She slipped away with a grin
Leaving Johnny to swim
Round in circles like a fish with a fracture

In fact he couldn't wait
He was a doer not a thinker
She reeled him like an expert and left him gasping and spent
Propped up in the corner wondering where the money went
